So while i'm waiting for a final part to RMA (sad), i figured i'd throw out a question to the community regarding games that look amazing in 4k. I haven't gamed (beyond MMO's) in a few years so i need to catch up once i get my rig online. I have already picked up Tomb Raider to try out @ 4k resolutions (via the never settle bundle), but what other games do y'all think really showcase the resolution of 2160p? I always see a similar list in benchmarks (BF4, Tome Raider, Metro Last light, Crysis 3, etc...) but which of these games (or others) do y'all think look the best at 4k res? Assuming you can get playable framerates, of course.

Definitely Crysis 3 in my opinion.

Typically, games that have the most clutter and best LoD are going to scale up best to 4K, especially if the game had a poor antialiasing or texture filtering method by default. Using downsampling as a reference, these are some games that I've noticed benefit a lot from higher IQ:

-The Witcher 2 (Like many older engines using early revisions of the DX9 API, texture filtering is bound up in the resolution and doesn't act on certain parallax maps. Running at 4K will unlock a lot of extra detail in each scene.)

-Dead Space series (Minimal/no AA by default and an abundance of clutter + HD textures just screams for higher resolutions. It's a beautiful series just held back by poor console IQ.)

-Mass Effect series (particularly 2 and 3, since ME1 doesn't really have the textures or clutter to make use of 4K)

-Far Cry 3 (In-game AA conflicts with the engine lighting and causes some edge judder, but just 4K+FXAA should offer the best IQ and jaggy removal, and this is a game with easily enough detail to look beautiful at high resolutions)

-Zeno Clash 2 (Like many UE3 games, the actual stability of the lighting is bound up in the resolution, SSAO in particular benefits from higher resolutions)

-Dark Souls (surprisingly nice textures, scene composition, and LoD hiding under that console port)
