what to buy with the system i have r9 290 - gtx 970

i was thinking to buy the Sapphire TRI-X R9 290 4GB GDDR5 OC(UEFI) but since the ZOTAC - GeForce GTX 970 4 GB is out and about the same price and it's new gen directx 12......sooo...... any help is appreciated

i knew it , i have to take the gtx 970 but since amd reccomend to use the r9 290 with fx 9370 and reviewers too , to get the most performance out of both . am worried that if i get the gtx 970 i wont be getting top performance out of it .

That's ridiculous. The CPU doesn't care what gfx card make it is working with. Either the CPU can keep up with the gfx card or it cant. If it can't you have CPU bottleneck. Don't be taken in by hype.

it was on sale for 180 all other good cpu were about 330+ sooooo....
(so i take it all i was reading were a load of garbage)
im not complaining about the cpu , it's visibly better than my old phenom

well i'm off buying my new gpu then
