I had a problem with my android smartphone shutting down ALL my internet not just WiFi.
Problem solved discard smartphone!
I actually took me a while to realise that the problem was the phone.
After ordering another router!
Ok now i brought a new device home a Tivo roamio guess what?
Same problem and it is confirmed because it is now unplugged!
So my question is this "has anyone figured out why a wifi device can do this"?
And "what is the fix"?
I have a sneaky suspicion that actually there is one solution!

You might have an ip address conflict. Go into your router with a wired device and look at the attached devices. It will list devices and ip addresses. Power up your Tivo and refresh. You should see it add. But take note of other ip addresses. Did anything change?

Also look at what ip addresses your router is handing out. Another approach would be to set a static ip address. But be sure it is either above or below the range of your DHCP address range.

IP address conflict is the only thing I can think of. But the fact this is happening with 2 different routers and devices is highly unusual.
