I need to access some data of a floppy disk, however the only motherboard I own with a place where you would likely see a floppy header does not,
http://www.foxconnchannel.com/ProductDetail.aspx?T=motherboard&U=en-us0000500#
(If you look beside the 24pin ATX power connector, theres a place for floppy pins however the section is just flat)

The specifications on the page for the board, state nothing about it, so I was wondering if anyone knew if I was to solder on some pins, would it work, or is it most likely that a previous bord made by foxconn supported floppy possible on a different socket, and rather than remove the space allocated by the header, it is cheaper to print the board with one and I should just either buy a USB floppy or a floppy controller.
