Im looking for a monitor with a 24", 120-144hz, 1080p display as you can see in the title. My budget is $500 and under. Im looking at the Asus VG248QE (http://www.newegg.co...N82E16824236313), and Benq xl2411z (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014376). Im looking for a monitor for fps. Is investing in a GSYNC monitor worth the investment for my gtx 970? I dont really understand the importance of gsync... While response times and refresh rate are very important to me, I also really want good colors and decent viewing angles. I dont want to sacrifice one for the other which I feel I'm doing with either of the two monitors above. Please give me suggestions and let me know about upcoming monitors/ technologies that might be worth waiting for. Thanks.

(Nearly) Every monitor has a static or unchanging refresh rate. G-Sync is for variable refresh rates. That means if your fps changes, so does your refresh rate on your monitor. This is to eliminate an artifact in modern games known as tearing, this usually occurs when your fps is higher than your refresh rate.

Really I would just wait as AMD's free sync is already set to win as its VESA approved and G-Sync will most likely fade away.
