Rather than making huge backups...is there a way to backup my folder permissions/wifi passwords/folder shotcuts etc etc?

I wonder if there is a way to backup the placement of icons, shortcuts, , folder permissions, network settings, etc windows explorer/taskbar shortcuts than every single file on my computer with Acronis? Is there a way to do this? My most important files are put on my external HD or on the cloud

When the IT people at work have to do this type of thing they take screen captures of the various displays. Not elegant but functional....

Yeah but in terms of timing that might be tedious to do with so many nuances. It might just be ebtter to make a full backup, but I don't have a lot of room to do that. I don't think I can do an Acronis backup of Windows 7 without all the clutter of media files either.

Any other suggestions?
