Hi all,

I'm having problems with a AX850 which is just <2yrs old (purchased end Oct 2012). The power is intermittent and shuts my PC down, always at exactly the worse moment possible! When this happens, the unit will not power back up unless it is manipulated or bashed with my hand (open hand that is, not a fist - I'm not a nutter!! LOL)

I've taken the PSU out and performed the paperclip test that's described on the Corsair Tech Support website and it works around 50% of the time but only after the switch has been repeatedly turned on and off rapidly, which is probably having the same effect as me bashing it with my hand. I suspect faulty wiring in the switch circuitry.

Does anyone have any experience with this sort of issue? Is it worth RMAing it or is there an easy fix?

Many thanks in advance.

RMA it if it's still covered by warranty, or for any easier & quicker fix just replace at your own expense

Well I'll RMA it then. No point forking out for a new one of all I have to do is send it away and wait a little while. Thanks Phillip :-)
