Hi guys! I'm trying to make a budget Gaming PC under $700. Up til now I've decided these specs would be well enough, but are going way beyond my set budget:

Chassis: Cooler Master K350 ($51)
MoBo: Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H ($86)
CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 ($222)
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon R9-270 2GB ($208)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 4GB-1600 ($53)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB ($62)
PSU: Corsair VS550 ($56)
Total: $738

*I've mentioned the price of components in my area, so as to give you guys an idea about the rates

Do you think that these are okay, guys? Any suggestions about further reducing the cost without compromising with the quality & performance? or any suggestions about increasing the quality & performance without compromising with the budget?

Upgrade your RAM to 8GB because it really IS important.

does downgrading my motherboard to Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2 be a good idea for sake of budget?

Are you planning to crossfire in the future? If yes, then an m-ATX board is not an option.

But the answer is yes otherwise, as far as the USB 3.0, SATA 6GBPs slots are enough. Do you need to have 4 ram DIMMs in the future? If so, google the name of the mobo you find and check its specs to see if it supports 4 DIMMs.

well I'm not thinking of any SLi in near future. Neither I'm gonna use more than 2 RAM sticks at once.

Then you are good to go! Be sure to get a decent H81 MoBo (Asus/Gigabyte/MSi are the best choices here) Stay away from the MSi E33 boards and the GA H81M S1 boards though. Happy rig building!

DS2 is good enough, will do! and be sure to resolve this thread by selecting the best answer! (I'm the only one who answered so that won't be a tough call! xD)

LoL thanks. But can you please elaborate a little difference between both these MoBos Gigabyte H81M & B85M?!

Yes, the B85M will have a couple more USB 3.0 ports and will have the Intel Business Advantage features, but for your use, it is not very significant so, might as well just get the H81M , don't you think so? If you need 4 USB 3.0 ports then the B85 is the board you want!
Cheers!
