I know that the title is stupid, and that there have been many threads about this, however the only reply anyone has is 'No.' I am currently running a workstation as my main computer, and am asking purely because I can get powerful server's With 2+ Quad Core Xeons for very cheap (I am talking ridiculously cheap, sometimes in the sub hundreds).

What I want is your opinion on what you could do towards Gaming, and Workstation type loads (Rendering, animating) with a server such as:

1. A Dell Poweredge with: Dual Quad core xeons at 2.00GHz with 28GB RAM.
2. Sun Microsystems SunFire X4150: Dual Quad-Core Xeon E5440 2.83GHz with 32GB RAM.
3. Asus Server: Core i7 3.4GHz with 32GB RAM (Yeah, Asus. What is this?)
4. IBM XServer X3650 M3: Dual Quad-Core Xeon E5428 2.5GHz with 8GB RAM
5.Acer AT310 F1: Intel Quad-Core Xeon X3440 2.53GHz with 16GB RAM
