The Asus Z97-AR you show would be a good one, that or the Asus Z97-A, another not listed is the Rock's Fatal1ty Killer

The Z97-AR was what I was leaning toward. It's exactly the same as the Z97-A with a different color scheme and without DVI and VGA right?

Correct - seems odd the charge a little extra for 'removing' a couple video ports :)  Sorry...found that a bit humorous (nonsensical)

Right. I'd buy the Z97-A if it's cheaper since I don't really care about color but Microcenter only has the AR.

Don't think $5 or so is worth quibbling about, I sort of like the looks of the AR a little better anyway

Will do. So far, this is what I have.

Anything you would change? Better case or PSU?

All of it, start with a AMD 965 CPU....................no, just kidding, your build is looking good - 3rd party CPU cooler - the Hyper 212 EVO is a great one and only $35

Dangit...now, I'm wavering on the Z97-AR. It was $79.99 + tax which seemed like a no-brainer but the sale ended yesterday and now it's up to $109.99 + tax which is still a great deal but just not as good.

What do you think about Asrock boards? I'm not too familiar with them and I'm worried about their reliability/durability. Also, how is their UEFI?

If you have a minute, can you take a look and tell me what you would recommend for any board $139.99 and under on this list:

The AR, The Rock's Z97X Killer, Extreme 4 (or 6) or even the Z98-Killer, I prefer Asus on the 1150 mobos, but the Rock mobos are my solid #2, then comes GB (and those are the only three manufactures I'll build on - these prices are great, where abouts are you ;)

I'm in LA are and these are the bundle prices from Microcenter. $40 off any motherboard if you purchase the i7-4790K for $299.99 + tax.

So you'd still go with the AR over the Sabertooth Mark 2, Extreme 6, UD5H and Gigabyte Gaming 7 if price didn't matter?

I think so unless one of the others has something you need the AR doesn't ;)
