Hey there all!

In the past Tom's has given away Tom's Hardware hammers, polos, shirts, squishy stress balls, USB sticks, and flashlights to users that have won contests, giveaways or just as a reward for a spectacular accomplishment. We'll be doing this much more in the coming year as well, but we also wanted to open things up a bit and provide our audience with a way to get Tom's merch on demand. Before we do that though, we want to hear from you directly on what kinds of stuff you'd like. What Tom's merch would you yourself buy?

From my end, case badges for builds is a thing I'd plunk down a few bucks for. And, we've now had these made and they look epic. (More to come on that later.) Here's a few examples of stuff we've had a lot of demands for.

• Hammers
• Polo shirts
• T-shirts with the iconography graphic
• Case badges
• Computer tool kits

What would you like to see? What would you buy? We'll be implementing a store soon, and want to be sure to include any suggestions from the community that we can.

Thanks in advance!

Sell Tom's swag on Newegg and Amazon.

Make a jumper.

Make companies pay to put their logo onto the jumper.

Sell it to consumers.

AFG - future THG marketing sellout ;)

Awesome! I've been hoping this would happen for years. To add to the list:

Hats, I like fitted ball caps myself.
Mousepads. It would be really cool to get SteelSeries or Razer on board with good gaming surfaces.
Coffee cups.
All in one pen holder/clock/thermometer desktop organizers.

Hey there, though I won't be eligible to buy (not sure if you can ship to India), I'd put forward my opinion. Firstly, you guys are doing a truly amazing job, kudos!

I always liked tech stuff from tech contests, but more than anything else, I like something which could be souvenired. Case badges are fascinating, as is the tool kit or a simple Tom's badge indicating this site's presence in the person's life. But that's just my opinion. t-Shirts never go out of fasion, and even wrist bands would look good. The hammer would be a great reward too, limited edition or its exclusivity is what I'd look out for.

Maybe see if you can get Pebble onboard and make a Tom's branded smartwatch and gove those away.

Whatever swag you make, it's a good idea to slap as many tech logos onto it for the cool factor.

AMD, Nvidia, Intel perhaps smaller players like Qualcomm, EVGA, ASUS, Gigabyte, Razer etc.

Use that revenue to subsidize the swag.

multitool keychain, drawstring tote gym bag.
October 1, 2014 9:25:34 AM

Fitted/stretch (1 size fits most) hat
trucker hat
mechanic's button up shirt with logo
mouse pads
gaming mouse surfaces
t-shirts and polos
coffee mugs
multi-tool and/or tool kit (both great ideas)

What about a DVD of Tom's 'chosen' testing tools and software, including any that we can sub-license? Would be a great place to include additional links, videos/how-to's, behind the scenes stuff, demo software and testing software, etc. Depending on any licensing, could sell for like $4.99 (example) and would be easy to burn off 1000's.

Definately a mutlitool and/or toolkit! ...and a coffee mug. :)

Epic ideas so far, everyone!

Now that's frikken brilliant. Though, maybe not a CD? I'm thinking a USB stick, since a lot of rigs no longer have optical media options, like netbooks and the such. Maybe even one of those key-style USBs...

Even just Tom's branded USB sticks without software is a good idea. As long as they have decent internals.
October 1, 2014 11:48:10 AM

USB sticks, yes! One can never have enough USB sticks.
October 1, 2014 12:00:42 PM

Laptop bag. Workout towel. Bumper sticker. Fridge magnet. Stainless Steel no-spill cups.

Removable media of any type would be ideal, obviously, unless we're getting into the business of offering software purchase and management akin to Steam or Amazon. Obviously I haven't had nearly enough coffee today and far too much beer last night due to the AL Wild Card game or else I wouldn't have suggested such archaic methods of data storage as a DVD. USB stick would definitely be a better option...and if they want to copy off the content, format and use the USB device, it's still a worthwhile investment.

Just what we need, another New Egg.

Car bumper magnets.
October 2, 2014 8:01:15 AM

Keys for keyboards xD
October 2, 2014 10:05:46 AM

On the USB software idea , a selection of wallpaper and avatars from our resident artist Rezasam1 would be nice to include.

I would love a Toms hammer. A Toms flashlight would be a good addition.
October 2, 2014 10:24:29 AM

I'll be happy to send mine to you as long as I can upgrade to the Resident Evil Executioner Majini hammer:

October 2, 2014 12:07:03 PM

My Tom's Sweatshirt has seen better days time for an upgrade.
October 2, 2014 5:40:13 PM

rubix_1011, that more like an axe then a hammer, but I like it.
October 2, 2014 5:45:02 PM

I would also like a baseball style cap with the forum logo.

If you turn it over, it looks like a massive meat mallet complete with the tenderizing points.

October 2, 2014 6:31:51 PM

You have a full sized one??
October 2, 2014 7:21:49 PM

No, just found that on the web as an example. Would make a great Halloween costume, though.
October 2, 2014 10:48:27 PM

Nothing gets you more treats at Halloween than a real working weapon.

xD

It also gets you tased and arrested for being a potential threat rather than being someone just out celebrating a holiday.

Great ideas! For personal use, it's hard to beat "tools" of any kind; hammer, flashlight, multi-tool (love that one), etc. For getting the name out there, T-shirts, caps, and bumper stickers work well.
For the flashlight, make it one of those clip-on bendy stalk lights for illuminating the recesses of a case, or a finger-light; something a tech could actually carry around and use on the job. Head- or cap-lights work for that too.
Software loads on USB sticks are another great idea too. Include a compendium of years' worth of benchmarks and other reference.
Another useful gadget is a car or wall charger for USB devices; those are pretty cheap. You might put Toms Guide logos on those, since they're more focused on gadgets.
October 6, 2014 2:30:19 PM

Trucker ball caps (with the mesh in the back), would be killer.
October 7, 2014 6:22:47 AM

^^ Psst! I can still see you!
October 7, 2014 7:10:05 AM

Lol. all the mod and see it.
October 7, 2014 7:38:16 AM

Trucker hat with the Tom's Hammer logo on the front; 'ALL YOUR BASE' across the back.
October 8, 2014 3:27:41 PM

that metal hammer you gave mods awhile ago
mouspads
usb stick
case badges
hats
t-shirts
polos
sweatshirts
sleeveless
light jackets
case decals (larger sized)
frosted car window appliques (also doubles as case window appliques)
pens
pencils
general carry bags
coffee cups
travel coffee thermos
memorabillia (photos, etc) signed by your favorite toms authors ( *cry* no more jane   )

perhaps some various other items that i saw listed above.

How about one of the above shaped like Tom's Hammer?

I would love to see a case badge, mouse pad/mat, or flash drive. The problem is, though, I have a nice flash drive and mouse mat (Corsair Voyager Go and Steelseries QCK+ respectively). My favorite screwdriver broke a while ago, so a good set of tools would be awesome.
October 9, 2014 6:15:38 AM

The question was, "what Tom's swag would I buy?" I'd likely buy a USB stick with software tools on it, a multi-tool (or tools; different sizes and/or types could be offered), and one or more flashlights (I collect flashlights as well as use them). I typically don't wear caps. I might buy a hoodie or light jacket if the price were reasonable, possibly a "mechanics' style" long-sleeve denim shirt.
October 9, 2014 7:15:50 AM

A signed toms shirt with Don W and Crashman's signature on it ... truly geeky.

A "toms" endorsed little toolkit with the right tools for everything you need to transplant a mobo ... and some spares like shiney case cover screws, HDD / Case screws, mobo screws etc ... and some TIM.

Get one of the OEM's to make it up for us according to crashman's specs.

I'll buy one.
October 9, 2014 8:01:20 AM

I don't know that I'd buy one of those myself, Rey, but I'd certainly recommend it as an excellent starting point for a new builder.
