Hi everyone,

So I've been thinking about building my first pc when I get my next paycheck, and I 've been looking at several different configurations for my build. One is an amd build, the other is intel.

This is my intel build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/nLxZWZ

This is my amd build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ByBgZL

I tried to keep both within the same price range, and they both have the same parts except for the mobo and cpu. I would like to shave off a few bucks if i can, but if not then $850 is my max budget.

As far as future proofing goes, which would be the better candidate? Are there any other parts I could substitute in to get better performance for price?

Also, I want my build to be aestheticaly pleasing, so do all the parts at least look good together?

What are your overall thoughts on the build?

Thanks in advance

You can still shave a bit of here and there by getting the locked i5 4690 and then a H97 motherboard.
