okay so i had a Core 2 Duo e6600 lying around and my friends pc had a Pentium e2180, so i offered to swap them out. i ran the windows index and to my suprise the CPU had dropped from 6.1 (pentium) to 5.9 (core2duo). this baffles me, i was so sure the core 2 duo would perform better.
am i missing something obvious here? is the windows index experience not showing a true reflection? is the pentium superior to the core 2 duo?

heres the stats
Pentium = 2.0 Ghz clock speed, 1MB L1 cache, FSB 800Mhz
Core 2 Duo = 2.4 Ghz clock speed, 4MB L1 cache, FSB 800Mhz

scratching my head at this lol
thanks in advance

yeh i thought it was weird too. its staying in there, im not in a rush to swap them back lol

yeh i waited for win7 to install the driver and rebooted it when win7 prompted me to. she been using all last night with no issues or any decreased performance, just thought someone could shed light on why win7 has rated it lower. i know the pentium was released a year later, maybe that throwing it off
