Wanting to build a basic PC

I am wanting to build a custom desktop pc. Nothing real fancy as i wont really be playing games on it. Will pretty much just use it for day to day email and facebook. Would like to be able to stream movies online and play dvds on it. Also, a wireless connection would be great.

Would anyone be able to comprise a list of components that i could purchase that would all work together, or a place when i could find that information at?

Do you have a budget in mind? Any preference of AMD or Intel? Videos or movies? Office applications? Just browsing? Do you need just the pc or do you also need a monitor, keyboard, mouse or operating system?
