Should I upgrade my build?
More so, WHAT Should I upgrade in my build?

I have
Core i7 875k
asus p7h55-m pro motherboard
Gskill Ripjaws 2x4GB DDR3 1333 RAM
Kingston HyperX 2x2GB DDR3 1333 RAM
Thermaltake 750w modular 80+ Bronze power supply
Asus Radeon 6950 2GB graphics card
Creative Sound blaster Z sound card
Intel 520 120gb SSD for main HDD to run Windows 7
Western Digital Raptor 74gb 10,000rpm HDD as secondary drive.
(USB External 1tb for storage lol)

Is a newer I7 really gonna be that much of a boost over my core i7 875k?
If I am JUST trying to max out games ultra in eyefinity or Nvidia's version, that and multi tasking web browsing and watching some movies...would an AMD processor be just as good, if not better for my tasks?
Which AMD processor, if so?
How about a core i5 vs i7 of the current gen? is an i5 more than sufficient?
Do I still want to go i7 if I really want to open up a GTX 970 4gb graphics card and if I want to go the whole 16x anti aliasing and all that?

I don't want a build with any lag, no screen tearing, can handle just about ANYTHING I throw at it, ultra, with settings up.

To answer my question first, I'd add a
Intel 730 240gb SSD to replace that raptor
Nvidia GTX 970 4gb ACX 2.0 Video card to replace that 6950 2gb

THEN maybe, just maybe, IF It's worth it,
Intel Core i7 4790k and a good mobo for it and my video card and sound card
and of course 16gbs of RAM for the new mobo...but is that 12gbs of ddr3 1333 still good?
Or should I go to something faster like the DDR3 2100 RAM?
Should I even upgrade my CPU? isn't mine pretty awesome still?

Please help guys! Lol so many questions!

Replace your graphic card first as the 2gb of vram is the reason for the eyefinity bottlenecking. Then the processor and i'd go with the i7 because newer games already started using those cores and threads.
