The way I segregate my time is by just planning out my days with a calender (I know it sounds old fashioned but trust me, it works). I personally use my google calender but any calender will work. Just as soon as you learn of something you need to do (whether it be school work you need to do, some activity you need to take part in, or anything else that you need to do, gaming doesn't count yet) put it in the calender (and make sure you allocate enough time to it. For instance, DO NOT ASSUME 15 minutes is enough time to study for a test, allocate a generous amount of time to it. Being able to plan out your days like this will also help you out in the long run (I know you're currently just 16 but let me tell you once you hit college or university you'll need to know how to manage your time, best to learn now).

If you find though that gaming and stuff is still distracting you (maybe you're doing your homework and your computer is on and a youtube video or a game distracts you) then I may suggest putting 2 profiles on your computer (instead of having 2 user accounts for 2 different people just have 2 accounts for yourself). Use one as your leisure profile and the other as your work profile. So you'd put all your games and fun stuff on the leisure profile and reserve the work profile exclusively for Microsoft Office and any other programs you need for schoolwork (also use a different browser so that none of your normal bookmarks distract you, for instance I use Chrome for leisure and Opera for schoolwork). That way whenever you're doing schoolwork all you need to do is open your work profile and hopefully that should eliminate most distractions (also make sure that when you install games that they only install to the leisure profile). Besides that, you'll just need to force yourself to stop playing video games and go outside and play (organized sports are great for this because you can treat them as an event you need to attend and that can usually provide the motivation you need to stop playing video games). Also note, it may be in your best interest to slow down your gaming habits, I used to play video games non stop when I was your age (a few years ago) but I played so often that eventually video games just became boring to me so I stopped altogether. They stopped being fun simply because I played them too much so try to pace your playing habits so that doesn't happen to you. I love video games now but there was a few year period where I didn't play at all.

So anyway, yeah, just try to pace yourself. Make social activities mandatory to attend and separate your video games from your studies. This is all about disciplining yourself and if you can become disciplined right now your future self will thank you... trust me on this one, my first year of university was quite the shock simply because I didn't know how to study or budget my time.

Good luck bud!
