Get the Intel build.
The FX-9590 is outperformed by the i7-4790k, and the i7 consumes way less power and generates way less heat. The 9590 is also borderline unoverclockable because of the heat, not to mention that few motherboards can actually handle the FX-9xxx CPUs.

Everything else seems excellent!

Ok, thanks for the replies. I will considered your suggestion.

Get the Intel CPU but the amd GPUs. You won't be able to fully utilize 8 cores in gaming at present or the near future. The r9 290x cf is faster than its nvidia counterparts hands down.

Also, for other people, I choose Samsung 850 pro because for the looks and better speed

You think CR r9 290x WILL BEAT GTX790 SLI?

Both of them are 4gb ram each tho...

The R9 290x Crossfire setup is quite similar to GTX970 SLI. As always, some games like Nvidia over AMD, other like AMD over Nvidia. The R9 290x seems to have a slight advantage overall. It comes at the cost of much higher power draw, heat and noise though.
October 5, 2014 11:59:30 AM

There are no official benchmarks yet comparing the two, but basically the r9 290x has more cores, higher clock speed, 4gb of gddr5 doesn't really matter as long as you're just gaming and not doing 3d rendering stuff or surround gaming setup. Also AMD cards tend to have better colour reproduction overall.

So, everybody thinks CR r9 290x is better than SLI gtx970?

I thought GTX970 has higher clock speed!!!

That depends on your definition of better ;)

They are generally the better performers, so if your definition of better is better performance full stop, then yes, the R9 290x's are better.
If it were my system I'd go with the 970s though, because of the noise, heat, and power draw at the cost of only a little bit of performance.

why r9 290x has higher perforomance?

can you give me a link that compare gtx 970 and r9 290x

Also, who voted for the AMD?

Can you explained why please?

Also, please DO NOT select randomly...

The 970 and the 290X come in pretty close in most tests, the big difference is in power consumption. A pair of 290X will need an 850W PSU for normal operation and a 1kW if you want to OC them, you can get by on a 750W for a pair of OC'd 970s so if you go for the Intel build you can get an EVGA 750W G2 and save $100.

This review has a bunch of benchmarks: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_970_sl...

A lot of them don't include R9 290x Crossfire but the R9 295x2 is 2 R9 290x's on a single card, slightly overclocked.

I'm aware of the amount of heat the 290x produces but that still doesn't answer my question...
Which will work better with my CPU?

Question's been answered.

Again the 290x is "not in the race" (as in "not competitive")....unless you are over 2560 resolution....

At 1920 x 1090 out of the box, it's $200 more money to go slower and with both overclocked as far as they can go, the gap widens substantially.

At 2560 x 1600 out of the box, it's $200 more money to for a tie and with both overclocked as far as they can go, the 970 runs away.

The only time CPus come into play as far as one versus the other is when you have multiple GFX cards and THG reported recently that AMD did SLI better than it did in CF.

The 970 will fit on my motherboard with no problems right?

This is copy from that source.

It stated that gtx 970 has higher performance than r9 290x
