Hey guys, I've hit a brick wall and need some help please.

I've installed google drive on my Win7 64-bit OS. I was not able to log in, it would just get stuck on "one moment please". As some of you may or may not know but Google Drive requires that you download and log in from IE (Mental I know). I use IE8, I can't upgrade it as it says I already have the newest version? no idea why. anyway, IE works fine except when I try and go to download Google Drive from their website. I can't even get on the Google Drive website.

I have enabled Active Scripts as many guides say I must do.

The Only Add-on I'm using is Java.

I'm running the latest version of Java

I have tried running No-Addons version.

I have made it my default browser.

I have set Internet Security to Medium (lowest option available).

Avast is disabled and Windows Firewall turned off.

I have ran the MicrosoftFIXIT from their support page.

I have added trusted websites as google support says I should.

I'm out of ideas. I just got a tablet and upgraded my internet to 40mb download and 20mb upload and would get great use out of the 15GB google drive.

Please don't suggest OneDrive, I'm having issues with that too. DropBox is only 2GB but it works :(

Thanks in advance.

Google Drive is no longer compatible with IE8, but is compatible with IE11 which is the latest version available for Windows 7: http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/internet-explor...

That's annoying. When I download IE11, it says I've already got the latest version but I've got IE8.

No idea how to fix it.
