Why go for a dual card when you have a cheap, cool, efficient, silent and ultra powerful GTX 970 for only 349$!
That will be compatible too, btw!

^^ agreed.
Yes, they are compatible, but the 7990 is 2 generations old. The GTX 970 just released and is the better choice.

The 7990 is PCI-E 3.0. Your system is also PCI-E 3.0.

It sure will!
As long as you have PCI Express 3.0 on your motherborad, you can have almost any card that uses PCI Express.
If your Power Supply Unit have enough wattage that is.

how do i check if it's a pci express 3.0? I have a Gigabyte Technology

I couldn't tell what mother board you have from the link you posted. Most Intel 4th gen syytemboards should have PCI e 3.

If you known the model mother board post it.

Then you have no need to worry! Go ahead and buy a 970!
Cheers. If you don't have further questions, can you please choose the best answer to resolve the thread?

Yeah I realized, this is a discussion thread, not a "question" thread.
