I'm getting a custom pc and I'm not sure wich one of these 2 gpu's I should pick. I know the amd is a little bit faster and has more vram but I'm a huge borderlands fan so I guess it would be nice to be able to run Physx. Also I've heard from a friend who has a nvidea graphics card that the drivers are really good. Both are msi cards and have the same twin frozr cooling system. What do you guys think is best for me?

Both cards are equally good. If you want high framerates, the 280 is the way to go. If you want very good detail, get the 760. I would personally get the cheaper one.

I'm a big fan of the AMD cards because you seem to get more performance for the price. But the best performance for the money on the market right now is the new GTX 970. If you can afford to bump your budget up a little, I highly recommend it to you.

OP`s assumed budget for a GPU is about 200$... The 280 costs 195$ and the 760 costs about 200$...

That card seems nice but I can't afford it, its 160 euros more expensive than the 760 over here, which costs €200.

It depends, is the difference in peformance really that noticable?

Well, you might get 5-15 FPS more...

Thanks for the info, I still can't decide tho haha. Higher frame rates are awesome but so are borderlands Physx.

I would recommend the nVidia card then as you like Physx. Your game won`t be unplayable if you go with nVidia. AMD is also good, though.
