Just recently upgraded my gpu and feeling like to try to game at 144hz. I got 2x SLI 980, plenty to run 1440p over 60hz. In most games I play, I sit around 80fps at 4k without overclocking. 1440p around 100~150.

These two monitors are what I am considering, if you know any 144hz better than these two, please recommend. They are both 1440p, 27''.

Overlord Tempest X270OC a S-IPS mostly 96~110hz, contrast 1500:1, no G-sync

Asus ROG Swift a TN 8-bit, 144hz, contrast 1000:1, with G-sync

Which one would you prefer and why?
Anyone can share their experience with G-Sync at high refresh rate

I am considering exactly the same.
It seems that it might be possible to upgrade the X270OC at a later point to support G-sync. I got this answer from Overlord yesterday:

"The Tempest OC will not be shipping until early November. We do expect to have a GSYNC unit sometime early 2015 and offer a kit that can be purchased to install in Tempest units. However, timelines on the GSYNC version are still very much up in the air."

Considering this I might be tempted to go for the X270OC, but I am also very interested in hearing more opinions on this.
Especially because the price of the X270OC will be around 780$ when import taxes and shipping is included (I live in Denmark) so the two displays will cost more or less the same.

That is a great news, I would definitely go for Tempest if they happen to have g-sync upgrade available. I will try to contact them as well, and keep this up to date.
