going from fx 8120 to fx 8350 is fine not huge improvement though.

BTW what is your budget for the GPU and what PSU do you currently have?

I forget what kind of PSU I have and I cant look it up since Im on vacation. I have about $300 for GPU budget. Can you suggest better GPU(s) and CPU(s) that would be huge improvement for my PC?

Recommending a GPU depends on what type of PSU you have and does your case has long GPU clearance.

Anyways this one will be a good card at your budget .

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 280X 3GB DirectCU II Video Card ($239.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: XFX 650W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $289.98
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

If you already have a good PSU then get gtx 970 for 330$.

Thanks for the suggestion. Though I already placed an order for GTX 780 (Zotac GeForce GTX 780 OC 941MHZ 3GB 6.0GHZ GDDR5) at CAD$369($30 mail-in rebate and free pre-sequal borderlands game) but I can cancel it at anytime. Should I cancel the order and get GTX 970 instead? It seems to me GTX 970 is slightly better.

The 970 is slightly better, and has a lower power draw.

gtx 970 is lot better than gtx 780 not slightly plus its a new architecture with low power consumption and lots of new innovative features you should cancel the order immediately and order the gtx 970 plus for gtx 780 you will need a strong 650 watt PSU as its consumes almost double the power compared to gtx 970.
