PC isn't booting after sudden freeze ? Is my HDD crashing Please help?

Today i was listening to songs on windows media player,suddenly every program stopped responding.
i turned it off using power button and when restarted it,it is now asking "insert bootable media".

after 3-4 hrs it started and after 15 minutes same thing happened.also it showed a blue screen stating crash dump something(don't know more) .Also i heard some tic-tic noise coming from HDD(i m sure),hear it every time i try starting pc now. plz help.

i5,4440
gigabyte H81m-s1
Wd green 1 Tb HDD,
corsair cx 500
8 gb gskill ripjaws x
windows 7 x64

Hello yogi3345 ,

I'm sorry to say that but by the looks of it you HDD might have failed. I would advise you to download WD DLG testing tool to confirm the state of the HDD. It can be run from a USB pen drive under DOS. All the instruction are here http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=606...
