wow, i have to have my Ad Blocker removed to add a comment? Good bye Toms Hardware. After 20 years of surfing, you've just lost me.

Ad Block Plus doesn't pose any issues for me at least, sounds like a problem with your config.

Doesn't work here either with the latest Firefox and AdBlock installed... I'd like to think it's a mistake on Toms' part.

No, it is not a problem with his config. On Google Chrome, with AdBlock Plus enabled, you are unable to post a comment with a quote or to post a comment period.
I do not know what the issue is but I am betting it is more with AdBlock Plus than Chrome.

And 2 things I noticed about adblock plus.

1: Whether using Chrome or Firefox with adblock disabled I cannot quote in the comments period.

2: I can however post with it on and off. The comment about 30fps above was posted in Chrome with AdBlock enabled.

In order to quote someone, I must be in the forums.

I can comment with AdBlocker (and tons of script/other blockers) on. Strange you can't.

Er, think you can elaborate on this? I'm happy to report any issues, but I'm not sure I fully understand the issue here.

I don't think Adblock generally causes problems with its basic subscription-only config, but Ghostery certainly can. Last I checked some of the scripts for comments (and I think the timeline as well) have dependencies on at least one of the 3rd party scripts, and when it is stubbed out by Ghostery the functionality breaks.

I can't scroll through the stories or add comments on the US site (the UK one works fine for me still) using the latest version of mozilla firefox unless I disable adblock plus, then it works just like before

I'm not sure exactly, i dont use addblocker, i created the post here to stop the the other thread from filling up with unrelated junk. Here at least the problem might get solved, seems quite a few people are having it.
