Hi all, I have two offices with a distance of around 200 meters. I wish to connect both office network through wireless. I have never dealt with repeater before so would like to know if this setup would work?Or any other suggestion would be great.

Office A:
A modem router(internet+dhcp) connected to a switch with computers connected to it. Repeater A is connected to the switch.

Office B:
A router(dhcp) connected to a switch with computers connected to it. Repeater B is connected to the switch.

Repeater A and B will connect with each other.

Is there an unobstructed line-of-sight between the two offices? I assume this is an outdoor path between the two offices. You would put up two of these Engenius Outdoor Access Points on the outside of the buildings facing each other.

The network you describe is kind of ODD. What function(s) does the router in Office B serve today? You don't show the internet connected there. Is it used for wireless?

IF you did connect these two offices, I would think you would want to eliminate one of the DHCP servers (probably Office B). Use the router in Office A for all DHCP, convert the one in Office B to an access point only if required.

Perhaps a better description of what goal(s) you are trying to achieve with the link, and maybe a better solution can be proposed.

Hi Kanewolf thanks for the reply, the router in office B simply acts as a dhcp server and nothing more without internet at the moment. Our plan is to actually connect two office network together as our file server is placed at office A so that office B can also share it. Data rate is actually our only main concern.

All you need to do is use the suggested outdoor bridge devices as your "repeaters". Just hook them to the switch in each building and remove the router from office B and let the main router in office A control the devices in office B.

Agreed. Unless the router in B is also your wireless access, then you would either need to convert it to an access point only or replace it with an access point if it can't be converted.
