how to solve sata hd not detected by bios

hi
had [now solved!] problem - bios did not detect new sata
specs:

• 
  mb ecs H67H2-M3
  cpu i5
  4gb ram
  os win7 home

problem hd - wd 1tb sata
after removing all unnecessary usb connections the bios 'saw' the new sata hd. the culprit was a bluetooth radio.
remember to leave bios hd settings in ide mode [default?] and no jumpers on sata hd.

Put it on AHCI if you install Win 7 or 8
