Facebook is making a mobile app for anonymous users. But if you wanted to be nameless online, would you make Facebook your first choice?

Isn't the whole point of Social Media to connect with real people? If I want to be anon, I wouldn't even think of using mainstream social media...

If you want anonymity, just don't make a social media account. That simple! Everything else doesn't work..

Yea not to mention people are accepting terms of service with fine print that basically states they're going to use your personal info however they see fit, monitor your activity, etc...

If you don't want your personal info floating around on the internet then don't type it into account registration forms on social media sites, e-commerce sites, etc... either read the fine print first, or don't complain about getting telemarketing calls or spam emails after you've just given out your phone number and email address to dozens of websites
