Okay so after like 4 months of using the stock cooler that the FX 8320 came with I decided to change it to Hyper EVO 212 for obvious noise and temp reasons. Now here is the problem, before the change I was hitting 67-70 C in SpeedFan and HWiNFO, CoreTemp during full load at stock speeds. After changing it to the new cooler it idles at 30 C and it stays at the same temp when im running Prime95. Is this even possible?

The CPU is ran at stock speed of 3.5 GHz.

What MoBo are you using?

Do you have the latest BIOS update?

Yes I do. Here is the image with all the software and Prime95. http://imgur.com/SQHajhQ
I also noticed that the frequency tends to jump around is that due to poor MoBo?

The MoBo isn't poor quality or anything.
I think that you shouldn't worry about the temps or anything. No matter what, the 212 EVO will keep the 8320 cool even at 100% CPU usage.
And in the end, having 40C on your CPU at stress tests is always a great thing. ;)

Also one more thing i noticed is that when I stopped Prime95 it seems to run at 3700 and jump to 4000 for seconds. Is it due to that its not using 100% on all of them and it gives room for the cores to speed up?

That isn't big a deal,no need to worry about that. :)

Also based on all the info i've given do you think I could push it to 4 GHz?

I think you're looking at average temps, not max. It clearly shows minimum (idling) temps as 26° & maximum (with all 8 cores @ 100%) temps as 41/42° in both Core Temp and HWiNFO64. Those temps by the way are pretty damn good.

At those temps it's entirely plausible. Just try small steps and preferably without touching the voltage levels (they'll make your temps soar).

True it does show 40 as being max, but that 40 must have been for a brief time as I was watching the temps and running Prime for 10 minutes and didn't notice that 40.
