Need help choosing graphics card.

I am currently running eyefinity (5760*1080) with a single R9 280x, but I want higher fps. I mostly play Battlefield 3, no interest in 4, and World of Tanks. In BF3 I have an fps around 30, in WoT around 35. My budget is max 400 euros (~320 British Pounds). That is in range of R9 290x or GTX970. I need 4GB or more VRam, BF3 at 5760X1080 takes 3.3GB at ultra, another reason to buy a new graphics card. I already did some research, and ended up with the following cards:

370- Sapphire R9 290X 4GB Tri-X
375- Club3D R9 290X 4GB royalAce
365- Asus GTX970 4GB Strix
375- Gigabyte GTX970 4GB G1 Gaming (Should make perfect combo with my Z97 G1 Sniper board)
380- XFX R9 290X 4GB Double Dissipation

I am not planning to put money in my PC for next two years or so.

At PCPartpicker I have 2 R9 280x's, but one has died.

I hope someone can help me decide.

r9 290x is a bit faster than the gtx 970 at the same clok speed but gtx 970 has much lower TDP than r9 290x almost half the power consumption so its upto you to decide i will go with the gtx 970 and OC it to get the same performance as r9 290x.

Either 970 is good.

Why not just get another 280x?

If you want an upgrade, go for the 970. See below. BF3 @ 5760x1080p should get your around 80fps with 4x AA.

I need 4 gig or more Vram. So another R9 280x won't be a option. I also won't do SLI. I do not want to spent any more money after this buy,
