Alright so I currently have a MSI Z68 GD65 w/ I7 2600k, EVGA GTX 780SC, 560ti physx and Corsair 1200watt psu in a HAF 932 Case.

I'm upgrading to a pair of GIGABYTE 970 G1's which I plan to SLI. I am using this with a 4k display.

Here's my dilemma. I'm thinking of getting a MOBO with 3 PCIe 3.0 slots so I can use my SLI cards and save the GTX780 for a physx card. I know the best combo's I might find are (8/8/4 or 1) for using the three cards but I've seen similarily priced 4 or 5 PCIe 3.0 slot boards with better bandwidth.

I'm assuming I'll need to upgrade to a CPU rated to use the 3.0 lanes and the current unlocked I5's are pretty impressive.

So I'm asking which cpu/motherboard combo would best serve me for a 2way SLI(2 Gigabyte G1 GTX 970's) and a EVGA GTX 780SC for physx.
