Should I upgrade?

i want to know if getting a new monitor and this prebuilt desktop would be a good improvement to what ive been using for the past few years..
current
monitor - hp s2031 20" (1600 x 900 resolution)
desktop - hp p6-2100 (AMD Dual-Core A4-3420) (4GB PC3-10600 DDR3)
upgrade to
monitor - Acer H236HL 23" IPS LED
desktop - hp 500 (AMD A8-7600 processor) (8GB system memory)

i mostly watch movies and surf the internet...would this be a good upgrade?

The monitor would be a nice upgrade.

Your current desktop should be enough for browsing and watching movies to be honest. Are you currently experiencing any problems with your computer?

I would build my own PC. It's a little bit cheaper if you're up to it.
