I used to have an AMD platform, but unfortunately I had an overall bad experience with a certain MSI board. Needing a new motherboard, I decided to jump to an Intel 4690k. The benchmarks look fantastic and at $200 it isn't a bank pillager either. (All I do is game.)

Micro center seems to be giving away pretty good combination deals with that processor. I just need to pick out a motherboard. I don't know much about the platforms, but I can read numbers. Really I'm just looking for opinions, because I can't see any one of them standing head and shoulders above another.

I will be doing mostly all gaming and other than that simple processing. I will be overclocking if thermals and the chip permit.

Here is a picture of the boards I'm trying to choose from:

Here is my build: If this impacts your decision!
Corsair 750M power supply
G.skill 1866 ripjaws ram
Thermaltake water 2.0 performer cooler
2x HDD
2x Radeon HD 7870
1x DVD Drive

Do you really need to spend that much money on a motherboard?

Asus z97-A will be enough for you to OC (around 120-140 dollars)
or
Asus z97-pro (Wifi) if you need wifi (Around 180-210)

Can I see your build?

Also, what is your budge?

Price is the processor + motherboard. Really they're pretty cheap! The build is under the picture.

The Z97-A and its re-colored counterpart the Z97-AR is one of the most recommended Z97 boards out there.
