I'm looking to buy a new motherboard, CPU and RAM, just after christmas but i'm yet to decide on what to get.
The system will be used for gaming mainly and general use.
The current components i already have.
Zalman z9 plus
3 X HDD (320gb,750gb & 1tb) + 1 600gb external
corsair builder 600w
plus all of the older stuff im replacing which is
AMD athlon 7550 (or something, I just know its old and i got it for £30 )
4gb ddr2 800mhz ram
sapphire 5670 ddr5 512mb
Later on in 2013 (around feb) ill be looking to replace my graphics card to something like a gtx 660 or a 7870.
If you want to stay AMD, you can get the Six Core 3.5GHZ FX6300 for £108, the ASUS M5A97 AM3+ motherboard for £57 and 8GB of 1600mhz DDR3 ram for £30, totalling £195 for that bundle. If you want to go intel, you can get an i3 3240 at 3.4GHZ (Dual Core) for £112, an MSI H77 Mobo for £65 and 8GB of RAM for £30, totalling £207.
So it's an AMD Six-Core bundle for £200, or an Intel i3 Dual Core bundle for £208. Both processor bundles have 8GB of high speed ram and will do about the same for you, but in essence the choice is yours. (Prices from Novatech)
