I had chosen this processor
http://
when i did the total sum of all the components of the configu i'd done and boom! It was too high.
The Pc i want to build is for gaming and i'll do some video editing too (ocasionally, 3D rendering with Cinema4D)
I've seen that I5 processors have a very good performance and they're quite cheap too.

Would you recommend me go for an I5 or an I7??
Which one is the best for the I5s?

Thanks

The i7 is definitely better for editing/rendering/etc but if you don't do all that much of it you can go with the i5-4690(K) too. Rendering and editing will just take a bit longer. Gaming performances is almost identical and you save a good hundred bucks.

Get the i5-4690K if you plan on overclocking at some point and you have a Z97 mobo. Otherwise go with the i5-4690.

Yes, thanks for the answer. I think i will go for the I5 i think.
Just seen that i5-4690K is better than i7-2600K (my actual pc's cpu)

i5 because games do not use Hyper Threading tech that is available on the i7.

Hidden option C: E3-1231V3.

~$245. Same performance as an i7-4770 in parallel workloads like video editing, same performance as i5-4690 in gaming. Works on almost any H97 or Z97 motherboard. Enjoy.

Depends on the type of games you play. I5 is good for most cases unless you are playing the games at ultra settings or the game is very cpu intensive. As for video editing, an i5 is good for basic to intermediate editing. I have never used the software you are using as I use premier pro cs6 but if it is very demanding, like editing 4k then get the i7.
