Hi all

I work in a psychophysics lab and we run a lot of programs that present precisely timed stimuli that rely on the monitor refreshing at very regular intervals. The amount of time between each refresh needs to remain as consistent as possible, so that we can be confident that our stimuli are being displayed correctly. CRT monitors work well in this regard, but they are becoming more and more difficult and expensive to source. The academic I work for is unsure of using LCD monitors, as he believes that we wont be able to rely on the regularity of screen refreshes. Personally, I have no idea, but I was hoping that someone might be able to shed some light on the issue, and if possible, it would be great if I had some evidence/reliable source to take to him to convince him either way (he is a scientist after all). Any help at all would be appreciated though!

Thanks in advance
