Hi guys,

I recently bought a new PC, and now I can't afford to take my girlfriend on holiday, which is a pain! I love this thing! But, we all have to make sacrifices! So, I was wondering how much I would be able to get out of it? i think i spent around £1020 on it...

I've has it for about 6 months now, and it's barely been used! The specs and prices I paid are:

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 - £239.99

4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 4790 3.50GHz Socket LGA1150 - £239.99

GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-GAMING 3 Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) Motherboard - £99.88

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit DVD - OEM - Service Pack 1 - £83.99

Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 High Airflow ATX Cube Case - £100.99

Samsung 845DC Evo 240GB Solid State Hard Drive 2.5" - £166.98

Novatech 1000Watt Power Station V2 Black Edition Modular Power Supply 80Plus Bronze - £89.99

Western Blue 2.5" 7mm 1TB 5400RPM SATA 6Gb/s 8MB Cache - OEM -£71.99

i dont know if it would be cheaper to sell as parts or as a full pc? but i need to sell it fast!

if there's anything else you need to know, let me know,

thankyou,

Jordan

Are the warranties transferable to the new owner? Otherwise that would cut the price, at least another £100.

Dumping the existing girlfriend may come with early termination fees while the new one may also have acquisition and activation fees - such as restocking your wardrobe because she does not like your current stock.

I aggree with the earlier price, however, say that if something breaks, have them send it to you so you can replace stuff. It saves hassle with giving them the receipts for everything.
