Hi, I just build a new system,

Motherboard: MSI z97i gaming AC
CPU: i5 4690k
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper EVO 212
GFX: MSI Geforce GTX 970 Gaming 4GB
PSU: Seasonic S12G-550
HDD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
RAM: Corsair CML8GX3M2A1600C9B Vengeance Low Profile 8GB

It started once, were on for a 30sec then shut down, sins it only spins the fans when power button is pushed. have tryed to take out the ram, do it with one ram block, disconnected the gfx card, more or less cut down to just the motherboard, CPU a block of ram to just get it to start, but no... only a spin and no more..

any of you guys who can help me out? I think it might be the motherboard sins I tried the test of PSU by short circuiting pin 15 and 16 on the motherboard supply and the PSU spins fine...

well that symptom of turning on then off is consistent with the cpu problem. try reseatting the CPU and putting thermal paste between the processor and the heatsink.
