Hi does anyone know or have any experiences with amazon bans or warnings? A friend of mine who is traveling received an email regarding amazon being unable to deliver his purchases. Does anyone know if this is a warning or are they planning on banning him from amazon. He had two order that might have been stolen or lost due to UPS error. Anyway here's the email.

Thanks

Hello,

A careful review of your account reflects that you've ordered with us a number of times, but we're having difficulty getting your packages to you. Lost packages have been reported many times on your account.

It's very important to us that our customers receive the products they purchase from Amazon.com. We appreciate your business and regret that these items haven't been delivered to you. Certainly, such lost shipments are inconvenient for you and costly for Amazon.com.

Please keep in mind when Standard Shipping is chosen on an order, we may use the U.S. Postal Service, UPS, Federal Express, or DHL when shipping your order. Unfortunately, it isn't possible to choose a specific shipper for orders.

When unusual account activity such as this comes to our attention, we'll evaluate each account on a case-by-case basis to determine if additional action or closing of the account is necessary.

Please write back to us directly at cis@amazon.com if you have any questions.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Best regards,

Account Specialist.

Your friend has to get to the bottom of the missing packages and at least ensure that it is avoided in future, otherwise Amazon will no doubt close his account.

He cannot just do nothing because it is unfair for Amazon to keep issuing refunds/reships without recovering the lost items.
There are some Phishing scams that have a similar text.
They invite you to click on a fraudulent link and collect your logon and other info.
If your friend really is missing an order, have them contact amazon directly.

I suppose UPS is the one losing and failing to deliver his items?

Who is the one that is reporting the loss?

If its UPS that is reporting I see no reason why Amazon would close the account.

Tell your friend to take it up with UPS. Also might want to review the address he set on Amazon because errors can make items undeliverable.

I don't think there was a link. They just said if he had some questions he could contact them. The situation of the missing packages were resolved. He asked for a duplicate replacement and they just refunded him.

He reported the loss of the item that UPS failed to deliver. He was fine with it he requested if he could get the duplicate items but they just refunded him and he just ordered the same thing and now he's waiting for the very same items. And then he received this email

Yeah he said he was planning on using amazon locker. There isn't really anything he can do because these orders were while he was traveling so he didn't know much about the area. Do you think amazon is warning him or they just letting him know that they are planning on banning him?

So its just this 1 item and no similar previous occurrence? If so I don't think your friend should be worried about his account.

Did UPS say why the item delivery failed? If they are still in possession of the item, did they return to Amazon or held it at a post office waiting for your friend to collect? If the item is lost did they do anything to remedy the situation?
