If you are going for such good parts why buy a crappy PSU go for a seasonic or xfx .

The build is very good one just a bit overkill for gaming only.

Thank you for the answers. I am going to use the computer for more than gaming... That's why I went a bit overboard with the specs. I am going to use it for some 3dmodeling and editing as well.

I am a bit concerned about the motherboard compatibility with the processor, but I understood that you can update the BIOS with a USB.

Z97 boards won't need a bios update to run a 4790k.

I think he is talking about the i7 4930k the z97 board will not work the socket is different its a ivy bridge extreme processor and needs LGA 2011 socket board.

The i7-4790K is up to 25% faster than the i7-4930K in about 90% of single client workloads. Interestingly enough, the 4790K has almost as many execution resources as the 4930K, but consolidated into 4 cores rather than 6, which makes those execution resources more accessible to a wider variety of real world single client workloads. The i7-4930K can be up to ~15% faster than the i7-4790K in unusual workloads that scale up to 12 threads really well.

If we bring overclocking into the picture, the 4930K can close some of that discrepancy... That said, if you really want a 6 core Intel, go X99 instead of X79. The i7-5820K is a really good value if you don't need the added PCIE lanes. If you're willing to shell out for an i7-5930K, then I would actually advise consideration of a C612 chipset board and an E5-1650V3 instead so that you can support ECC memory, which is always a good idea for a machine that will be used in productivity/creativity environment. Memory and Storage errors are still primary source of file corruption and non-software related errors/crashes. If I'm building a high end Intel rig without plans to overclock I would ALWAYS build on their enterprise C226 or C612 chipsets and use ECC memory rather than on consumer Z/H/X platforms.
