It`s a really nice build!
I don`t understand the Hybrid HDD, but it comes down to personal prefference.

However, if you are willing to some changes, I got you a GTX 980 in there for 3$ over your budget:

Why get a GTX 980 when he can get GTX 970 in SLI for just a $100 more after he saves his money instead of getting a GTX 980?

It's kinda suggesting of getting i7 4790K when all he really needs is the i5 4690K

Well, maybe because later on he can add another 980 in there and get better performance than 970 SLI.
However, this was just a suggestion. The decision on what parts to pull the trigger lies with the OP, not with me or you.
If you noticed, I told him he has a great build, and just provided him with an alternative.

Any other topic that you want me to clarify for you?

The 970 has a max TDP of 145W IIRC.
A 550W is enough for one 970, so anything over 700 (including) is enough for 970 SLI.

EVGA 750W power supply is a very good one. Make sure it's not the B1 model. It either has to be B2, G2, or P2. Don't make the same mistake I did when I got the B1 on my very first build. A lot of people have reported the B1 for coil whine. That's a lot of power for two GTX 970s.

I actually did want to do GTX SLI eventually. Figured it would be much more powerful than gtx 980x1

Oh yes, GTX 970 SLI would blow one GTX 980 out of the water.

Do you think my power supply and cooler could handle the GTX 970 SLI? That is my concern for the future

I just checked I am ordering the G2 Model, you scared me for a second there haha

Hey at least I made you check, right? The G2 from EVGA is made by Super Flower and that series can compete with Seasonics X series.

Any way you go, you have a really nice build, and I can only be jealous on the performance you`ll get out of it :D

Have fun putting it together!
