Hey guys!

What do you think of this setup;

-ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 mobo
-FX-8350 (Black edition)
-MSI R9 270x 2g gaming
-MSI R9 270x 2g gaming
-4x4gb 1600 mhz ram

Besides this, I have some standard HDD's, 1 on 500 gigs and 1 on 1500 gigs. Don't really wanna spend the money on an SSD atm. Also, I have 1 R9 270x, which is the reason for 2 of those, where I think I will get the same performance for half the price of a 290x. (+- ofcourse..)

The ram is something I already own, I am thinking of upgrading for 4x4gb 1866 or 2100 mhz, but I have read something about this CPU is bottlenecking it, thus only allowing for 1866 mhz, is this true?

For PSU I am considering one of these 2;
Corsair RM850
eVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2

Both are 850watts and both have secluded wiring, which I just LOVE! Both are same price.
Which would you recommend?

I am putting it all into an NZXT H440 tower, I have plans of making a watercooling system later on.
At this point I have a Corsair H100 watercooler for the CPU, and yes, I want to overclock the pc.

I was originally looking at either Asus Maximus or Asus Sabertooth, but I like the blueish look on M5A99FX, and read that it is as good as the Sabertooth? Anyway, also cheaper. But the M5A99FX I read is good for O.C.

Thanks guys! Cheers.

Looks very do-able. The board will handle 2 cards at x16 lanes, so no issue there. The board is good for OC'ing. I would stay at 1866mhz on the RAM. The memory controller is rated for that. OC'ing the memory might not be a good idea.

Side note: I have a FX-8350/R9-290X system sitting idle at the moment. Need a new MB. I was looking that the one you chose but I see there are 2 listings for it at Asus.

Is that the same board, just a global site and a US site?

I think it is the same mobo, whole name is the same etc..

Both are Asus sites just one with us in the url. :)

Is the 8350 with 290x a good mix?

I'm thinking of trying to get to 4,7-4,8 ghz on it, it should do that very stable also with watercooling.
