Can a motherboard be able to produce sounds without a sound card or do you need a sound card? Because I see plugs for connecting speakers but I don't know if that's for the sound card or the mother board can do that.
Most newer motherboards come with on-board sound. You can get a sound card for usually higher quality sound and better options for audio ports. In short you won't need a sound card unless you plan on using one for better sound that the stock sound.
