Should i upgrade from a GTX 470 to 760

Atm i have a EVGA GTX 470 SC with

Core i7-920 @ 3.5GHz + Corsair H50 Cooler
EVGA X58 SLI LE motherboard
6GB Corsair Dominator RAM @ 1600mhz
850W Corsair PSU

Just curious if i should bother as theres a EVGA GTX 760 SC ACX 2048MB for £159 in the UK and i cant afford to upgrade my entire system atm. Would it have an issue running on PCIe 2.0 or bottleneck problems etc? I don't play FPS games on my PC i have consoles for that it's more for single player RPG types like Fallout and Elder Scrolls but heavily modded.

You will be just fine. CPU and PSU are good for that card.

Would it be worth paying slightly more and getting the 4gb vesion or just go with the 2?

It's around£40-50 more but a friend is going to have my 470 so gives me so gives me a bit more moeny to play with. Ideally i'd like to upgrade my whole system bar case but just don't have the cash atm.

Well the 2GB is just as fast as the 4GB. So I would personally save that extra money.

I would personally recommend the 770 over the 4gb 760 and of course the 2gb. The cost just went down to compete with 280xs lower pricing.

Agreed. If you would be willing to spend the extra £40-50 on the 4GB version, just go for the faster 770.

Most places i've seen the 770 version its closer to £250 though so almost 100 more unfortunatly. I assumed having more memory would help my heavily modded ENB Skyrim run better, but it's been a while since i upgraded anythign so kind of out of the loop on a lot of things.

More vram would help with modded skyrim.

Its up to you if you want to spend the money though!
