Hi everyone,

Since I am experiencing a weird error with my GTX 760 (nvidia display driver stopped responding and has recovered) I'm considering to send it back and get a different card. My question is as follows.

Should I get (the prices I provide are the set ones I will have to pay):

Another GTX 760 (About €200)
Asus Radeon R9 280 3GB (€213)
Asus R9280X-DC2-3GD5 (€222,50)
Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X, 3GB, Rev. 2.0 (€245)
Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon HD 7970 GHz 3GB GDDR5 (€200,-, it's in sale because its refurbished. Is this safe? The only reason it's cheap is because of refurbished.)

I would mainly like to play Rome 2 Total war on it in the best way possible.
I was very satisfied with the GTX 760 performances, but the errors and crashing that occured after 2 days kind of ticked me off. I'm just scared I'll get the same error.
Do keep in mind I need to watch my budget. Cheaper is better, unless you really think a bit more money will significantly improve my satisfaction.

This PC is meant purely for gaming purposes, mainly games like Rome 2 and Shogun 2. I was thinking the 7970 Sapphire one looks quite amazing but not sure if it really is, plus unsure about the ''refurbished''.

Thanks for your input!

A 280x is going to be the same as the 7970 ghz, so with it being newer and more up to date than the 7970, id get that.

On a different note, is your 760 overclocked? Thats usually what causes that error. Otherwise, Id try an older driver.
