Hello forum, ive bough a brand new Dell monitor with displayport built in. So i decided to use a DVI-D to displayport cable since 460 doesnt have this port. My screen is not recognised by the PC and i cant find a solution for it. Is it a graphics card problem or its just the monitor?

I think that it is your adapter cable.

IIRC your card has dual DVI-I connectors, so you would need a DVI-I to DP adapter, take a look at the pinout for DVI-I HERE. I've run into that issue a few times and it can be frustrating.

Monitor is a Dell P2314H, the cable i use is DVI-D to Displayport, is there a difference between DVI-I and DVI-D cause DVI-D fits perfectly to my graphics card. Should i contact the Dell support for such a problem? The cable is brand new btw, i purchased it earlier today.
