difrance between asus maximus formula vi and vii

i am thinking of buying the asus maximus vii but i want to now if its worth it. what the difrance between a asus maximus vii and vi because the vi is cheaper

Which one? Hero, formula, impact, extreme? Mainly, the VI is a Z87 motherboard while the VII is a Z97 motherboard. That should pretty much apply to all variations.
