Ok i was going to get an 8350 but then a form person told me the 8320 is the same as the 8320 but with an over clock. i am interested to know if they truly are the same.

if so is a hyper 212 good enough for the overclock and also how do i do it?

The fx 8350 are typically better binned chips (came out better from the manufacturer) and can overclock better. Overall I think the fx 8320 is a good choice, but since the release of the fx 8370, 8370e and 8320e it is more and more likely that the fx 8320 will not overclock very high. It is a luck of the draw, but AMD is picking out the best ones for the fx 8320e, 8350, 8370, 8370e, 9370 and 9590 chips. The fx 8320 is at the bottom of the barrel.

Having said that, if I was buying an fx chip I would go with the 8320.

the 8350s have a slightly lower voltage curve/temp profile than the 8320. the difference for most is negligible. if all your looking for is a modest overclock of about 4.5ghz with a budget cooler like the hyper 212, you would never notice the differences between each chip. above 5.0ghz is when the differences would start to be noticed with the 8350 either operating at a slightly lower vcore or lower temperature, or both.
