GTX 970 sli ?

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of building my first computer but am not sure if I am wanting to get the GTX 970 in SLI or just a single card. Does anyone know if a SLI 970 is worth the money or not.
I am getting the intel i5 4790k processor if it helps.

It'll depend on what resolution your monitor(s) is. If you are 4k for example, 970SLI is worth it. Here are some benchmarks

But if you are just on a single 1080p monitor, I'd say 970SLI is overkill.

I am only going to be using my 40" samsung TV for gaming

If your Samsung TV is 1080p then GTX 970 is enough to max out nearly every game and you dont need a second one. but if you TV is 2K/4K then you will want a second GTX 970
