running dual monitor with 2gb gtx 770

Hi I have a gtx 770 2gb msi I wan to know if I can one 1080p monitor for gaming and one 1440p monitor for web browsing,live streaming,etc or do i need to run a sli configuration but I am planing on getting gtx 970.
My system spec-

-gpu gtx 770
-8gb ram

You should be able to run dual monitors with one GPU. My friend has an asus 670 and he runs dual 1080p monitors. You just need to use the unused ports on the GPU and plug them into your monitor.
