Is a 500 watt PSU enough for a FX8320 & r9 280?

System specs for pc I will build:

-FX8320 (125 Watts)
-ASUS M5a97 EVO 2.0 motherboard
-8 gb ram
-A fairly good case
-R9 280 Graphics card (150 Watts +)

For this build will a 500 Watt PSU be enough?

At this stage I have no plans for exteme overclocking or running a milion billion way crossfire, so for a fx 8320 and a single r9 280 will 500 watts be enough :p?

Thx

The R9 runs between 170 and 250 watts depending on the card you have. 500 generally is the lowest recommended watts for a single GPU/CPU with no overclocking.

This was the PSU I was looking at getting:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00DZ6R9GE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

But I have decided to get one with a bit more wattage, this one:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Builder-Series-Bronze-Supply/dp/B009RMP44O/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1414756821&sr=8-8&keywords=psu

It has better reviews and stuff :p

Yeah, I might consider the CS unit. It is more expensive but it has a gold rating and stuffs... I shall think about that.

Thanks Brighttail you have been a great help :)
